The total private dwellings were 177, 295 in the year 2011 and among these the amount of private dwellings occupied by usual residents were 165,153. 51% of private households lived in single-detached houses and 10.7% lived in apartments in buildings that have five or more storeys, in the year 2011. The rest lived in other types of dwelling structures.
